First Book Registration Coordinators
Join local community members, students and leaders, who want to help others dramatically increase their access to books by volunteering to help programs in need register with First Book. Registration Coordinators identify local groups serving children in need, collect key programmatic information, and submit completed documents to First Book, granting the programs access to First Books unlimited books and educational resources.

What Is An Advisory Board?
First Book Advisory Boards are committees of volunteers, representing a community or campus, that come together to raise awareness and funds in order to provide new books to local literacy programs serving children from low-income families. There are more than 270 Advisory Boards nationwide.

What would I do as an Advisory Board member?
These are some of the main functions that an Advisory Board member might perform:

  • Plan events in your local community to raise money and inform people about First Book
  • Seek donations from foundations, local businesses and individuals
  • Select programs in your community to receive books
  • Increase awareness of First Book by publicizing your Advisory Board to the community and to the local media
  • Attend regular Advisory Board meetings
