Deutsche Welle (German TV)
In 2006, a video crew from German television station Deutsche Welle came by First Book's office to film a profile of First Book as part of their series about the Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneurs. It aired on the Deutsche Welle program Made in Germany and you can view it on their website (it's in English). You will need Real Player to view the video.

The Cat in the Hat Challenge Program
Newscasters were challenged to wear a Cat in the Hat hat. Each time that hat was worn on-air, it triggered a donation of 5000 new books by Random House to First Book. A total of 225,000 books were donated.
