First Book is thrilled to join forces with the NEA and the Heart of America Foundation to support Books Across America. This page offers you—and the children you work with—simple volunteer opportunities designed to help provide brand new books to children across the delta region affected by the hurricanes.

Help provide free books to programs in your community. By registering with the First Book Literacy Registry, community-based programs serving low-income children can receive free books from the First Book National Book Bank and deeply discounted books from the First Book Marketplace. Sign up your group today and forward this link to others in your area!
Sign up to volunteer at a National Book Bank distribution. Volunteer your time in a First Book warehouse—in the Gulf Coast region or in your home state—to help put brand new books in children’s hands!
