About UsFirst Book provides new books to children in need, addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy – access to books. An innovative leader in social enterprise, First Book has distributed more than 65 million free and low-cost books to disadvantaged children and the programs that serve them. Established in 2008, First Book of Martin and St. Lucie Counties has brought the magic of books to many children in need. All funds raised are used to benefit programs in Martin and St. Lucie Counties. Our Advisory Board is comprised of many members of our community from many different sectors. We have firemen, educators, businessmen, healthcare providers, and many other wonderful people who will help make this Board a success.
