About UsFirst Book provides new books to children in need, addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy – access to books. An innovative leader in social enterprise, First Book has distributed more than 65 million free and low-cost books to disadvantaged children and the programs that serve them.
The First Book-Syracuse University Campus Advisory Board is facilitated by the Mary Ann Shaw Center for Public & Community Service (CPCS) Literacy Initiatives at Syracuse University. The Campus Advisory Board is comprised of SU students in the SU Literacy Corps Council, the leadership arm of the SU Literacy Corps.
