We are thrilled to announce that the Borders holiday giving campaign to benefit First Book raised more than one million dollars!
For the third year in a row, Borders and First Book teamed up during the holidays to launch a customer giving campaign that raised more than one million dollars through the generous donations of Borders customers. “Because of the success of our giving campaign this year,” said Borders Group Chief Marketing Officer Michael Tam, “thousands more children in low-income families will now have their first brand new book to read. We are happy to again unite with First Book in creating future passionate readers.”
“We are once again amazed and grateful for the incredible generosity of Borders and its customers during the 2007 holiday season,” said First Book President Kyle Zimmer. “Your contributions will allow children in need to experience the joy of reading and owning new books, often for the very first time.
