Starting An Advisory Board
Congratulations on taking the first step to starting a First Book Advisory Board and bringing the magic of books to the children in your community!
The “Starting an Advisory Board” section provides all documents that are required to be submitted to the First Book national office before becoming an established Advisory Board. You will also find additional resources to help guide your Board through this stage of development.
The Online Resource Center (ORC) is a site for all Advisory Board members to find tips and tools, read about best practices, learn how to participate in current national campaigns and much more. To access the ORC from First Book’s homepage, www.firstbook.org, click on the Advisory Board Online Resource Center link and enter username: firstbook, password: magic.
A regional Community Development Representative at the First Book national office is available for additional guidance.
